Report reveals potential stumbling block in Celtic’s chances of signing Joe Hart

Celtic are keen to sign Tottenham Hotspur’s Joe Hart in a bid to address their goalkeeping issues, according to the BBC.

The report claims that there could be an obstacle of a move being completed due to whether Celtic can offer a financial package large enough to lure the former England international north of the border.

Hart is said to earn around £30,000-a-week in North London and will find himself out of contract at the end of the season (Spotrac).

The 34-year-old is reported to have already been informed that he is not part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans for the upcoming season (Football London).

It has not been reported whether Spurs are demanding a transfer fee for Hart or are instead happy just to get his wages off the books.

Pierluigi Gollini’s arrival from Atalanta sealed Hart’s fate with Nuno having left the former Manchester City and Burnley stopper out of the last two pre-season friendlies, having instead preferred to play Alfie Whiteman.
