Report reveals Real Madrid’s stance on Gareth Bale ahead of summer transfer window

Real Madrid are desperate to get rid of Gareth Bale this summer, according to the latest reports from Spain.

Daniel Levy reportedly made a big effort to bring the winger back to North London in the final days of the January transfer window (Daily Mail) but he once again ended up staying put at Los Blancos.

Reports indicate that Zinedine Zidane has told the Madrid board to sell the Welshman as he doesn’t see him as a part of his plans (Sport).

AS now claims that Los Blancos have to sell players before they can afford to buy this summer due to the precarious financial position they find themselves in.

Bale is one of the players Zidane is said to be hoping to shift in order to raise money to buy his targets.

It is further revealed that the Spanish giants are trying to reduce their wage bill in order to deal with the financial impact of the pandemic and that selling Bale is a big step towards helping them do so.

Given that Real Madrid are desperate to move Bale on, there is potentially a great opportunity to get him on the cheap, which Levy will be attentive to. However, we ourselves are in just as desperate a situation if not more in terms of finances. So, being able to broker any sort of deal to afford Bale’s wages is out of the question.
