Report reveals Ruslan Malinovskyi update – He still prefers Tottenham transfer

Foot Mercato have claimed that Ruslan Malinovskyi is open to joining Marseille this summer but the Ligue 1 club still have plenty of work to do to strike an agreement with Atalanta

Malinovskyi has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham over the last few weeks (TuttoMercatoWeb) but Fabrizio Romano said on the Here We Go podcast on Tuesday that the North London club have not submitted a concrete offer for the attacking midfielder.

The journalist claimed that Marseille are the only club who have made a move for the Ukrainian but added that the player was not keen on joining the French club.

Foot Mercato have now offered an update, explaining that Marseille have offered Cengiz Under to Atalanta as part of a deal to sign Malinovskyi.

The report asserts that joining Tottenham remains the player’s preference but he has now given the green light to move to the Stade Velodrome.

However, there are still said to be plenty of details left to iron out between the French club and the Italian club. The report adds that the deal is ‘very complex’ to finalise as Atalanta and Marseille ‘are still very far from agreeing on the terms of the operation’.

Spurs Web Opinion

If it is true that Malinovskyi has given the ‘ok’ to join Marseille, that must mean that he does not see a move to Spurs as being a realistic option anymore.

With just a week left until the transfer window closes, it is anybody’s guess who we will sign as Bryan Gil’s replacement. Perhaps, we are in for a late surprise.
