Report reveals salary and length of Paulo Fonseca’s contract at Spurs

Calcio Mercato have revealed that Paulo Fonseca will be earning a salary of around €4m to €5m, which is £3.4m to £4.3m.

After suffering several setbacks in their search for a new manager, Tottenham look to have finally appointed Jose Mourinho’s successor in Fonseca.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham’s new managing director of football, Fabio Paratici was keen on appointing Fonseca and that the former Roma boss is set to sign a contract with the North London club before Wednesday.

Calcio Mercato have now claimed that an agreement between the parties has already been reached and that an official announcement is now imminent.

It is asserted that Fonseca will be earning around €5m (£4.3m) at Spurs, significantly lesser than the £15m-a-year salary earned by his predecessor and the £17m-a-year contract that the club reportedly offered Antonio Conte.

Calcio Mercato also reveal that the 48-year-old will put pen to paper on a two-year deal with an option to extend it by another 12 months.
