Report reveals some of Tottenham’s fringe players may not travel to South Korea

The Evening Standard have revealed that some of the players who are expected to leave Tottenham this summer may not travel with the rest of the squad for the club’s pre-season tour to South Korea.

Tottenham have been extremely active in terms of incomings so far this summer, with Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, and Richarlison coming through the door while Clement Lenglet (Sport) and Djed Spence (Telegraph) are expected to follow.

However, it has been quiet in terms of outgoings at Spurs, with Cameron Carter-Vickers the only player having officially departed so far.

Steven Bergwijn is thought to be on the verge of a move to Ajax (Fabrizio Romano) while reports indicate that the North London club also want to shift the likes of Harry Winks, Joe Rodon, Emerson Royal, Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, and Sergio Reguilon (Football.London).

The Evening Standard have now revealed that Antonio Conte is prepared to be ruthless in leaving unwanted players out of the trip to Korea.

The report reveals that the Italian will wait until the day of departure (Saturday) to make a decision on who travels after the international players are back in training.

While this may come across as extremely ruthless, I am sure Conte and his coaching staff will have their reasons for why they do not want some players to be involved in pre-season.

The entire focus should be on getting the team best prepared for the upcoming campaign, and perhaps Conte feels that taking the likes of Ndombele and Lo Celso to South Korea, may not be good for the group morale.
