Report reveals some Spurs players have found Nuno to be ‘incredibly blunt’

The Daily Mail have reported some Tottenham players have found that Nuno Espirito Santo can sometimes be ‘incredibly blunt’ instead of sugar-coating matters.

Not only has Nuno had a perfect start to his Tottenham career in terms of results but the Portuguese coach can also be proud of the way in which he handled the media over the last couple of months, given all the speculation surrounding Harry Kane’s future.

While Spurs have not exactly produced swash-buckling football so far, the former Wolves boss appears to be winning the Tottenham fans over with the way in which he has conducted himself.

However, The Daily Mail claim that the 47-year-old is much more direct and candid in person.

The report explains that while Nuno is looking to create a familial environment at Spurs, he himself is not as engrossed in the jovialities.

The former Wolves boss has allegedly been keen to stamp his mark on the squad and has not been unafraid to tell his players how exactly he sees things.

This comes off the back of a report by The Athletic last month, which claimed the Tottenham players found Nuno to be ‘distant and uncommunicative outside of training’.

One would think that most players would prefer their managers to be honest with them. Nuno certainly seemed to be very well-liked by the players at Wolves. So, even if he is not joking around with the players after training, he evidently seems capable of getting them playing for him.
