Report reveals Son’s touching gesture to Spurs teammates in South Korea – Levy loved his gift

The Daily Mail have revealed that Son Heung-min gave all of the Tottenham players and staff gifts when they landed in South Korea and took them out to give them a taste of the local cuisine.

Tottenham’s trip to Korea was a huge success both from a footballing and commercial point of view for the club.

The Spurs stars not only got their competitive juices flowing ahead of the new season by playing in two pre-season friendlies in front of capacity crowds, but they were also greeted by thousands of fans everywhere they went, according to various reports (The Athletic).

When the squad first touched down in Seoul last week, Son was there at the airport to welcome the teammates and staff.

The Mail have revealed that the 30-year-old welcomed the team with personalised gifts, including t-shirts. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, who accompanied the squad to Korea, was allegedly spotted wearing his t-shirt around the hotel.

The Mail also state that Son took his teammates out for a night of traditional Korean barbecue and picked up the tab for the dinner.

Spurs Web Opinion

While most of us knew that Tottenham were popular in South Korea, this trip was an eye-opener to the extent of the club’s popularity in the country. I believe that a significant portion of these supporters will remain Spurs fans even after Son leaves as they would probably already be hooked by that time if they are not already.
