Report reveals Spurs have drawn up list of first-choice targets for three positions

Sky Sports have revealed on their live transfer blog (at 10:59 am, Feb 25) that Tottenham Hotspur have drawn up a list of first-choice targets for central midfield, centre-back and wing-back.

Tottenham are expected to have a busy summer transfer window ahead of Antonio Conte’s first full season in charge.

The Telegraph’s Matt Law reported earlier this week that Fabio Partici is set to target the likes of Alessandro Bastoni, Gleison Brener, Djed Spence, Gabriel Jesus, Christian Eriksen, James Ward-Prowse and Kalvin Phillips this summer.

Spurs are expected to have plenty of money to spend this summer, with the club announcing on Tuesday that they have had a cash injection of £150m from ENIC.

Sky Sports have now revealed on their live transfer blog that Fraser Forster will be Tottenham’s first summer addition, with the goalkeeper set to sign on a free transfer when his Southampton contract expires at the end of next month.

The report also adds that Spurs have drawn up a shortlist of first-choice targets in central midfield, at centre-back and at wing-back.

It is alleged that the North London club are also looking for new forwards to provide competition and back up to their front three of Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Dejan Kulusevski.

Spurs Web Opinion

I suspect our first choice target for left centre-back and right wing-back positions would be Alessandro Bastoni and Djed Spence respectively.

I also believe that Gabriel Jesus would be the forward that Conte prefers to sign but it will not be easy winning the race for the Brazilian as he would have to be promised regular game time, which I do not think the Spurs boss is in a position to do.
