Report reveals Spurs star attracted interest from ‘several of Europe’s biggest clubs’

The Guardian has revealed that Son Heung-min attracted interest from several top clubs around Europe during the recent transfer window, as Spurs look to tie the forward down to a new contract.

Multiple reports over the past month (Telegraph and The Athletic) have revealed that Tottenham are in talks with the South Korean over a new deal.

It has been said that the North Londoners are keen to give the 28-year-old a pay rise to bring him on par with the club’s highest earners, as a reward for his improved run of form.

The Guardian reveal that Tottenham did not receive any bids for the former Bayer Leverkusen man during the recent transfer window despite the forward attracting interest from plenty of clubs around Europe.

The report asserts that Son is happy at Spurs and wants to extend his stay in North London. The forward is said to have developed a good relationship with Jose Mourinho and is likely to be offered a contract until 2025 or 2026 worth around £200,000 a week.
