Report reveals Spurs turned down past ‘big-money’ bids for midfielder

Football London have revealed that their sources say Tottenham have turned down ‘big-money’ offers for Lucas Moura in the past.

Of course, the Lilywhites have decided, up until now at least, to hang on to the Brazilian midfielder who is currently in a rich vein of form.

Moura arrived in North London from PSG for a fee of around £25m back in January 2018 and is still said to retain a current market value of around £22.5m (TransferMarkt).

Football London do not reveal how much Tottenham were offered for Moura, beyond it being ‘big money’ or who was interested in the winger.

So far this season, Moura has been well used by Jose Mourinho, featuring 43 times across all competitions and scoring nine goals while also providing seven assists.

The Brazilian has been a bright spark in some dark times for Tottenham of late, putting in consistent performances in a new number 10 role. Spurs fans will be hoping to see this form continue as they edge towards a pivotal climax to the current campaign.
