Report reveals that West Ham made late loan move for Tottenham midfielder

Tottenham Hotspur now have an embarrassment of riches in the centre of the park after they signed Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon in the summer.

Pochettino has played a dominant three of Ndombele, Moussa Sissoko, and Harry Winks multiple times over the last month or so.

However, even with these three on the pitch, Spurs still boasts the likes of Eric Dier, Oliver Skipp, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, and Victor Wanyama who can play in that holding position.

However, the Spurs days could be numbered for the final name on that list, as Victor Wanyama is reportedly a target for Bruges this summer (Express).

This comes as the European transfer window remains open until September 2, despite Spurs not being able to sign anyone themselves.

The report from the Express also reveals that Wanyama was the subject of a late loan bid from West Ham, but it fell through before the deadline.

Would a loan between the two rivals have gone down well? Probably not.
