Report reveals the five clubs interested in Ndombele – Ligue 1 side ‘very interested’

Foot Mercato have revealed that five different clubs from across Europe have expressed an interest in signing Tanguy Ndombele this summer.

Out of all the players who are surplus to requirements at Spurs, Ndombele might prove the hardest for the North London club to shift, given the massive salary he is on (Spotrac).

The Athletic reported last week that the 25-year-old is not close to being sold because clubs have been put off by his wages. The report suggested Tottenham might have to loan him out again, just as they did during the second half of last season.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports (Football Daily) revealed on Tuesday that Marseille and Galatasaray could be options for the midfielder, but added that Ndombele would prefer a move to Italy or Spain.

Foot Mercato have now claimed that Marseille are ‘very interested’ in Ndombele and have already contacted his representatives regarding a transfer.

The report adds that Napoli, AC Milan, Villarreal and Bayer Leverkusen also have their eyes on the Tottenham man but none of those clubs have made concrete advances toward him yet.

Spurs Web Opinion

I would be flabbergasted if we found a permanent buyer for Ndombele this summer unless the midfielder decides to take a massive wage cut.

The best Spurs can hope for is to loan him out while covering more than half of his salary. I think Tottenham might have to eventually pay out the remainder of the 25-year-old’s contract for him to leave.
