Jose Mourinho has been coming under a fair bit of criticism for Tottenham’s recent performances and results, especially the defeats to Chelsea and RB Leipzig.
The Portuguese coach has been accused of being overly negative in his approach (ESPN FC) and some have even suggested that the game has moved on from him. However, one thing the Spurs boss cannot be accused of is not working hard enough.
Football.London have revealed that Mourinho has used the Spurs Lodge at Hotspur Way fairly regularly since joining, often opting to stay the night at the training ground.
The 57-year-old even praised the luxury accommodation unit based at the Enfield facility in his first press conference after joining the club back in November and revealed then that he had stayed at the facilities the night before (Football.London).
It turns out that has been a regular occurrence since then as the Spurs boss uses the accommodation in order to start work at 7 am the next morning.
Spurs Web Opinion
While it remains to be seen if Jose will be a success at Spurs, one thing that cannot be questioned is his hunger and drive to succeed. It is evident that he is just as keen to prove himself and win with Spurs as he was when he arrived at Chelsea more than 15 years ago. Let’s hope he goes on to lift some silverware with the club and shuts up his critics.
