Report reveals the role Harry Kane hopes to have for Spurs at Wolves

The Sun have revealed that Harry Kane will travel with the Tottenham Hotspur squad for their clash at Wolves tomorrow afternoon.

With just 11 days to go until the transfer window closes, Kane continues to be heavily linked with a move to Manchester City, although some sources are now suggesting that the Premier League champions would have to sell players before meeting Spurs’ valuation.

The England captain was not part of the matchday squad for Tottenham’s season-opener against City or their Europa Conference League play-off first leg in Portugal on Thursday.

The striker has been training with his teammates at Hotspur Way this week ahead of their trip to Wolves.

The Sun have now confirmed that the 28-year-old will be part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad for the trip to Molineux Stadium.

The report claims that Kane wants to be involved in the clash against Wolves despite the uncertainty surrounding his future.

The striker is said to be hoping to be named on the bench by Nuno.

If Kane does want to be involved against Wolves, that could well mean he has accepted the fact that he might have to stay at Spurs for one more year. Given the controversy surrounding the 28-year-old over the past couple of weeks, it would be sensible for the striker to make his return away from home rather than in front of the home fans.
