Report reveals the three central defenders Tottenham have their eye on in January

According to a report from 90min.com, Jose Mourinho wants to add another central defender to his squad when the transfer window reopens in January.

Toby Alderweireld and Eric Dier have built up an excellent partnership over recent weeks while summer singing Joe Rodon put in a promising display against Chelsea when filling in for the injured Belgian.

The report claims that Mourinho is not convinced by Davinson Sanchez and would like to sign a left-footed centre-back when the transfer window reopens.

However, it is suggested that Tottenham will not be willing to spend more than £15m on a defender in January.

At the top of the club’s wish list is Sassuolo’s Gian Marco Ferrari, who is an experienced campaigner and has been a consistent performer in the Serie A over the years.

The report claims that Sassuolo will be willing to let Ferrari leave for around £15m due to their financial troubles.

Apart from the Italian, Borussia Dortmund’s Dan-Axel Zagadou is also said to be an option Spurs are considering while Kim Min-jae is also reportedly on the club’s radar.

However, the report claims that the North Londoners are likely to put off any move for the South Korean until next summer.
