Report reveals the three positions that Tottenham are keen to strengthen this summer

According to a report by The Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur will attempt to sign a new goalkeeper, right back and central defender when the transfer window opens at the end of the season.

The report claims that the North Londoners would have to offload players first in order to raise funds for their targets and the club are looking to potentially offload as many as six players.

Apart from Danny Rose, whose contract with the club runs out in the summer, the futures of Serge Aurier, Hugo Lloris, Erik Lamela and Juan Foyth are all thought to be in doubt.

It is also suggested that Harry Winks and Dele Alli might be on their way out, with both of their futures depending upon whether or not Mourinho is still in charge next season.

Further, it is claimed that Carlos Vinicius is likely to return to Benfica, with Spurs unwilling to pay the £36m option they have to buy the striker on a permanent basis.

The club are said to also be on the lookout for a potential back up to Harry Kane, with Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic among the players on the North Londoners’ radar.

Spurs Web Opinion

I think the elephant in the room with regards to Tottenham’s potential summer business is the question mark surrounding Mourinho’s future. If Levy decides to keep faith in the Portuguese coach, we will likely have a busy summer in terms of incomings and outgoings as Jose will have to be backed. If Mourinho does lose his job, the club could take a minimalist approach to the transfer market in order to give the new manager an opportunity to work with the squad and assess who he wants to keep.
