Report reveals the two reasons why Spurs are looking to sell Danny Rose

Nearly 200 appearances, 12 years at the club, seven seasons as the first-choice left-back, still only 29-years-old (Wikipedia), Danny Rose doesn’t have the hallmarks of a player you would be looking to sell.

However, Tottenham Hotspur left Rose out of their pre-season tour squad earlier this week, stating that it was to allow the player to explore a potential exit this summer.

Two of the biggest clubs in the world are said to be after the £20m man, with the Mirror stating that PSG are keen, while Football Insider say that Juventus are also interested.

The Mirror have revealed the two key reasons why Tottenham are looking to offload the 29-year-old this summer, despite recent high-quality performances.

The report states that Rose has just two years left on his current deal, and Levy wants to avoid the current situation happening with Alderweireld and Eriksen repeating itself.

Secondly, Spurs are also said to be keen on Ryan Sessegnon as a potential long term replacement, with Football Insider even claiming that a deal could be done next week.
