Report reveals the type of striker Antonio Conte wants to bring to Tottenham

The Telegraph have revealed that Antonio Conte wants to sign a striker who can also operate out wide.

Previous reports have indicated that Conte is keen to bring another big-name striker to Tottenham this summer to supplement Harry Kane (The Mirror).

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold reported last week that Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Real Sociedad’s Alexander Isak, Benfica’s Darwin Nunez and Bayer Leverkusen’s Patrick Schick are all options for Spurs.

In addition, the Lilywhites are also reportedly locked in a battle with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain for Everton’s Richarlison (Daily Mail).

The Telegraph have now explained that Conte has informed Fabio Paratici in the pair’s meeting on Friday that he wants to sign a versatile forward who is capable of operating in the wide areas.

The report mentions Jesus as a target, with the Brazilian thought to be considering his future at Man City.

It is revealed that despite Arsenal also registering an interest in the 25-year-old, qualification for the Champions League could give Spurs the edge over their North London rivals.

Gabriel Jesus and Richarlison would both fit the bill for what Spurs need this summer, given their versatility and experience in the Premier League.

However, signing either player would be difficult as they might not command a regular place in the starting eleven at Tottenham, given the impact Kulusevski has made.
