According to the Daily Star, Tottenham’s hopes of signing Dusan Vlahovic could be dented with the Fiorentina striker said to be making staggering demands for his next set of wages.
The 21-year-old could be on his way out of La Viola after allegedly telling the club’s chiefs of his desire not to extend his deal which runs until the summer of 2023.
With just over a year left on his current terms, Vlahovic’s name has since cropped up on plenty of European club’s shortlists over a potential move in January or the summer.
Premier League sides Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea are allegedly keeping tabs on the Serbia international’s situation, while Tottenham are also said to be interested in making a big acquisition for Antonio Conte.
However, the Daily Star report that Vlahovic could be ‘in danger’ of missing out on a move, with demands for his next contract reportedly putting some interested parties off.
The report claims the striker, who has scored 18 goals in 22 appearances this term, wants a huge £200,000-a-week wage packet after tax, with the scope of his request reportedly limiting his next options.
The request could also come alongside Fiorentina’s apparent €70 million asking price for Vlahovic.

Vlahovic is quite clearly going to make clubs break the bank in January or the end of the season, but his form is becoming quite hard to ignore halfway through this season. Spurs, despite allegedly holding an interest, may end up having second thoughts about shelling out such a fee and wage packet.
