Report reveals three things on Fabio Paratici’s agenda as he flies to Italy

CalcioMercato.com journalist Daniele Longo has said that Fabio Paratici has flown to Italy to discuss the possible exits of Japhet Tanganga and Bryan Gil while also exploring potential signings.

The speculation linking Tanganga with a move to AC Milan has gone into hyperdrive over the last 24 hours.

The print edition of Corriere dello Sport (18/07/22 via Sport Witness) claimed on Monday that the Rossoneri are set to hold fresh talks with both Tottenham and the 23-year-old’s entourage this week.

This was subsequently backed up by CalcioMercato.it who suggested that Milan were ‘ready to sink a blow’ for Tanganga.

The report claimed that Spurs want €30m (£24.5m) for the defender but that the Serie A champions hope to negotiate the price down and strike a loan deal with an obligation to buy the Tottenham man.

Longo has now taken to social media to reveal that Paratici has arrived in Italy to discuss a deal for Tanganga, with a meeting with Milan set for Thursday.

The journalist added that the Spurs managing director of football is also planning on holding talks over a departure for Bryan Gil, with Sampdoria interested in the winger.

Finally, he adds that Paratici could also explore a move for Tottenham’s targets like AS Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo during his time in his home country.

Spurs Web Opinion

I cannot see the Zaniolo rumours having any legs as we are well set in terms of attacking options after the addition of Richarlison. Given the impact Dejan Kulusevski has had at Spurs, to spend big on an attacker with a similar profile like the Roma star, would not make much sense.
