Tottenham will announce the signing of goalkeeper Fraser Forster next month, according to the Evening Standard.
The 34-year-old is set to be one of Spurs’ first incomings this summer, arriving at the club on a free transfer upon the expiry of his Saints contract.
Forster underwent a medical at the club’s Hotspur Way training centre last week and is expected to act as a back-up to Hugo Lloris next season when the move is completed (The Athletic).
And with the deal all but confirmed, the Evening Standard have revealed that Tottenham plan to announce the England international’s arrival next month, although a date has not been specified.
Arriving from Celtic in 2014, Forster has gone on to register 134 appearances in the Premier League as well as earning six caps for his country (Transfermarkt).
He acted as Southampton’s No.1 in goal for the majority of the second half of the campaign in place of Alex McCarthy, who was ruled out of contention with injury in December.

With Forster all but confirmed as the first signing at Spurs this summer, it should allow the club to move onto other targets now.
Finding a back-up to replace Pierluigi Gollini could have been a bit of a headache, but they have acted early to avoid it being a problematic scenario.
