Report reveals unlikely Spurs player with best passing accuracy in the final third

Tottenham Hotspur have been far from their free-flowing best so far this season, with their only outstanding performance coming at home to Crystal Palace in a 4-0 win in the Premier League.

The Lilywhites have been embarrassed 7-2 by Bayern Munich, knocked out of the League Cup by Colchester, and taken apart 3-0 by Brighton, to name just a few poor results.

As well as being poor defensively, Spurs have not looked their usual potent selves in the final third this season.

The likes of Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli have been unable to rack up the necessary chances and assists for Harry Kane to deliver the goals.

While Spurs fans would expect Alli, Eriksen, Kane, or perhaps Harry Winks to have the best passing stats in the final third, that statistic belongs to another.

Moussa Sissoko is famed for a lack of end product, but he boasts an impressive 93.75% passing accuracy in the final third this season.

In fact, Sissoko has been ranked as the fifth-best in Europe’s top leagues by WyScout (as quoted by Football London).

Spurs Web Opinion:

Sissoko is definitely underrated when it comes to his passing in the final third, even if his shooting leaves a lot to be desired. However, the fact that he has over a 90% passing accuracy at the top end of the pitch and Spurs are still struggling to create chances says a lot about this team.
