Report reveals update as Man United have scouted Spurs-linked Vlahovic

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United have scouted Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic ahead of a potential move for the Tottenham target.

The Serbia international, who has tallied 13 goals in 15 appearances this season, will allegedly not be extending his current deal, which expires in the summer of 2023.

Reports claimed Tottenham have placed Vlahovic firmly towards the top of Antonio Conte’s shopping list in January, as the Italian continues to plot his side’s rebuild.

However, the Daily Mail now claim Man Utd have joined the race for the striker and have been scouting him over a potential transfer this winter.

The Red Devils are said to be after another centre forward, but are aware of the fierce competition in the race for the Fiorentina man.

However, the report claims United may be forced to miss out on signing Vlahovic altogether, with the priority likely to be towards recruiting a defensive midfielder and right-back, with Fiorentina looking to demand upwards of £55 million from potential suitors.

United are currently in the process of rebuilding the side’s foundations, with German tactician Ralf Rangnick taking up a position in the dugout at Old Trafford.

Spurs Web Opinion

Vlahovic is obviously going to attract plenty of interest from sides across Europe, so if Spurs are to get him they need to be quick and also serious. While it would be a massive coup, United have other problem areas to sort out first, so it wouldn’t make total sense for them to bring him in.
