Report reveals update on Daniel Levy’s position on a potential Bale return

Eurosport have reported that Daniel Levy is likely to make a move to re-sign Gareth Bale for the 2021/22 season at Tottenham Hotspur.

This comes after some outlets have claimed that Spurs included an option to re-sign the Welsh winger for a second season in their original agreement.

However, others have reported that no such agreement exists, meaning that Tottenham would have to pull up a chair at the negotiating table with Real Madrid once more.

Sky Sports reported earlier this month that Real Madrid were open to selling Bale this summer on a permanent deal.

Bale himself has already admitted that he knows what he wants to do next season, although he refused to reveal the choice as he thought it would ’cause chaos’.

The Welshman managed an impressive 16 goals and three assists for Spurs last campaign, considering he didn’t get regular minutes in the Premier League until the turn of the new year.

The Eurosport report claims: ‘There is an agreement in place whereby Tottenham are able to resign Bale for next season on the same terms they had him on this year. Chairman Daniel Levy is likely to take up that opportunity.’
