Report reveals update on Man United’s chances of landing ex-Spurs boss Pochettino

The Daily Mail have revealed that Manchester United have to move quickly if they are to land Mauricio Pochettino as the Argentine is unlikely to be available for too much longer.

The former Tottenham manager was said to be on the radars of both Manchester United and Manchester City (Daily Mirror) but Pep Guardiola has since signed a contract extension to keep him at the Etihad Stadium for a further two years.

The 48-year-old has also been linked with the Paris Saint-Germain job (Express), with the pressure continuing to mount on Thomas Tuchel.

It was reported last month that United had contacted the Argentine regarding replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (Manchester Evening News) but a couple of wins for the Red Devils has since seen speculation die down.

The Daily Mail claim that Solskjaer, who is closing in on his second anniversary as United boss, has still not completely convinced the club’s hierarchy that he is the man to take them forward.

The report adds that Pochettino has already rejected multiple offers as he continues to wait for the right project but warns that United are running out of time if they still retain hope of landing him.
