Report reveals what Adama Traore thinks about Spurs ahead of transfer window

CalcioMercato have claimed that Adama Traore ‘likes’ Tottenham, hinting he could be open to a move to North London if Barcelona don’t want him this summer.

Traore was thought to be Spurs’ first-choice target for the right wing-back role in January but he reportedly turned down the North Londoners’ approach in favour of a loan move to Barcelona (The Athletic).

The Catalan giants have the option to snap up the 26-year-old permanently for £29m in the summer (Sky Sports).

However, Traore has struggled for regular game time since his move to the Camp Nou, with Sport suggesting in March that Xavi’s men have no intention of signing the pacy wide-man permanently.

90 min claimed last month that irrespective of whether Barca take up the option to sign Traore, the winger is likely to leave Wolves in the summer.

This information has now been backed up by CalcioMercato, who claim that Barcelona will not take up the option to sign the winger, but he will also not return to his old club.

Instead, it is asserted that Traore ‘likes’ Tottenham on the back of the club’s attempts to sign him during the previous window.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do wonder if Traore was an emergency option for Conte and Spurs in January since their other targets for the right wing-back role were not available.

With the likes of Djed Spence, Wilfried Singo and Denzel Dumfries now on the market, perhaps the club will decide against reigniting their interest in Spaniard.
