Report reveals what Ange Postecoglou thinks of Spurs-linked Radu Dragusin

Speculation is mounting when it comes to Radu Dragusin’s proposed move to Tottenham Hotspur and, according to Fabrizio Romano, Ange Postecoglou would be very happy with the signing.

As Tottenham continue to deal with a severe injury crisis, the need for a new centre-back is bigger than ever. Right now, it appears the North London club could be on the verge of solving that problem very soon, with Radu Dragusin thought to be the top target.

The injuries to both Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero have left Spurs short of established centre-halves, and the club has unsurprisingly made that position the main priority for the upcoming transfer window (Telegraph).

While a number of players have been linked to Spurs, Dragusin has emerged as the most likely transfer over the last few days, largely due to the fact it seems a deal could be struck very quickly with his current club, Genoa.

Ange Postecoglou wants Radu Dragusin

Fabrizio Romano has been covering the situation closely, and recently confirmed Spurs were preparing a ‘verbal bid’ for the 21-year-old. He also suggested Dragusin himself had already approved the move.

In another update from Romano, it seems Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou has given the transfer his blessing, too, and that the negotiations for the Romanian defender are moving along steadily.

Romano tweeted: “Understand Ange Postecoglou considers Radu Dragusin as great option for Tottenham as new centre-back. Club-to-club talks ongoing with Genoa. Dragusin, understood to be keen on Spurs move.”

Romano also added that Spurs have already agreed personal terms with the defender.

This really should be an open-and-shut deal, to be honest. We know the player is keen, Postecoglou likes him, and we even know how much Genoa want for Dragusin.

Let’s just hope Daniel Levy sanctions the deal quickly and doesn’t try to mess about haggling over a couple of million like he has in the past.
