Report reveals what Conte did in Spurs dressing room after Brentford draw

Antonio Conte had very little to say in the Tottenham dressing room after seeing his side held to a goalless draw at Brentford, according to Football.London‘s Alasdair Gold.

Spurs, needing to earn a crucial three points in the top four race after Arsenal’s win against Manchester United earlier in the day saw them lose ground in their pursuit for the second week running.

Antonio Conte’s side instead produced a limp display against the Bees and failed to have a shot on target for the successive matches after the points were shared at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Following the final whistle, Football.London reports that Conte was said to have kept eerily quiet in the changing room and barely said anything to his Spurs players.

The Italian’s apparent frustration comes after Spurs clawed themselves back into strong position in the Premier League by embarking on a four-game winning streak.

Now fifth and two points behind Arsenal with five games remaining, Spurs next host Leicester on Sunday in a bid to get back on track and keep within touching distance of reaching next season’s Champions League.

Tottenham needed to bounce back against Brentford after that poor Brighton showing, but instead the same thing happened again.

It is a shame because all of the club’s hard work in winning all those points over the last few weeks is going to waste at the moment.
