A report from Football.London has revealed that Antonio Conte promised to give his Tottenham squad some time off if they could secure victory against Leicester.

Tottenham won a dramatic encounter at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday night to claim a last-gasp 3-2 win over the Foxes.

Trailing 2-1 with seconds to go in stoppage-time, substitute Steven Bergwijn grabbed two goals in just 79 seconds to stage one of the most iconic comeback victories in Premier League history.

The Dutchman’s rolling effort off the post sent the travelling Spurs fans into raptures, with captain Hugo Lloris sprinting the length of the pitch to join in the celebrations.

Spurs worked tirelessly throughout and three points was the least Conte’s side deserved from what was a positive performance for the majority of the encounter.

The win not only comes with a major boost in the race for the top four, but also the rest the players will receive in the coming days.

Football.London report Conte promised to hand his Spurs squad days off next week if they could win one of their games in hand against Leicester.

It is added that the Italian could hand them another incentive should they notch another good result in what is shaping up to be a big clash against Chelsea on Sunday.

A win would see the gap on Thomas Tuchel’s side closed to just five points, with Spurs holding four games in hand over the Blues.

Spurs Web Opinion

It was a mammoth effort from Spurs against Leicester and they were unfortunate to find themselves behind after putting in a really good display away from home. The manner of the victory should give the players a lot of confidence heading into Chelsea this weekend, and a win there will put the club in a good position for the rest of the season.
