Report reveals what Conte told Spurs players in first rallying cry of a speech

The Daily Mail have revealed that Antonio Conte issued a powerful rallying cry to the Tottenham Hotspur squad when he met them for the first time on Tuesday.

Conte met the players for the first time at 3 pm on Tuesday and immediately called a team meeting. The Italian is alleged to have given a passionate address to the Spurs squad, telling the players ‘I will give you everything’.

The 52-year-old is said to have told his players that he will instil a winning mentality into the team but they have to be prepared to work extremely hard during training.

It is explained that while the new Spurs boss did not officially take training and only attended in a watching capacity, the players caught a glimpse into how hard the sessions will be under their new head coach.

Conte is also thought to have expressed to the players that he is completely available for each and every one of them. However, he is said to have made it clear that the players had to give him everything in return.

Finally, the former Chelsea boss also stressed the importance of togetherness among the squad and told the players they should start to enjoy themselves again after a tough start to the season.

The report reveals that the Tottenham players were left ‘deeply impressed’ by Conte during his first 24 hours at the helm.

Spurs Web Opinion

While Conte is known for his tactical nous, the Italian’s biggest strength is arguably his charisma and his ability to get the players playing for him.

Whether or not the move works out in the long run, one would certainly expect a new managerial bounce over the next few months. That is why I am convinced that a top-four finish is very much possible for Spurs this season.
