The Sun have revealed that Daniel Levy will try to convince Antonio Conte to stay at Tottenham, with the Spurs chairman set to have crisis talks with the club’s head coach following the loss to Burnley.
Conte seemed a defeated man after Tottenham fell to a 1-0 defeat at Turf Moor, which was the club’s fourth loss in their last five Premier League games.
The Italian was quite emotional in his post-match press conference and seemed to hint that he might not be the right man to steer the club out of trouble given their poor recent form (Football.London).
The Spurs boss also seemed to suggest that he will hold frank conversations with the club’s hierarchy about what is to be done going forward.
The Sun have now claimed that Conte will meet with Levy at Hotspur Way today to discuss if he is the right man for the job.
It is asserted that Levy will try to reassure the 52-year-old that he is the man to get Spurs to where they belong. The report claims that Levy believes Conte is the man to bring silverware to Tottenham and will thus look to allay the former Inter Milan boss’ fears.

As excited as I was when we appointed Conte, I am starting to think that he might have not been the right fit for us. He is certainly a world-class manager but I do not think his constant complaints to the media are doing anyone any favours.
Perhaps, it might be better for the club to start from scratch and hire a manager who would be content with a long-term project rather than one who throws tantrums when a few results do not go our way.
