A report from has revealed that Nuno Espirito Santo and Sergio Reguilon were engaged in a lengthy conversation in the manager’s technical area midway through Tottenham’s defeat to West Ham.

Tottenham put in a limp display at the London Stadium on Sunday as the side fell to a 1-0 defeat and yet another London derby loss this season.

Michail Antonio maintained his excellent record in front of goal to net the only strike of the game, which made it his sixth against Tottenham.

For Spurs, the goal came in extremely frustrating circumstances, as Antonio was essentially left unmarked after getting away from Harry Kane at a corner, while the award of the set-piece should have been avoided altogether.

Reguilon, after some good work to win the ball back, was dispossessed by Pablo Fornals in a dangerous area and Tottenham eventually had to concede the corner when Hugo Lloris made a finger-tip save.

Just over 10 minutes after West Ham broke the deadlock, Nuno made his changes in an attempt to alter the game, and Reguilon was part of a double switch for Bryan Gil on the 84th minute.

Instead of a warm embrace and a quick shake of hands with Nuno, Reguilon engaged in a long conversation with the Portuguese coach, before eventually taking his spot on the Spurs bench.

The topic of conversation will have likely been about his lapse in concentration in the lead-up to West Ham’s opener, which was a major blot on what was a decent performance from the full-back at the London Stadium.

The way the goal was conceded will have frustrated Nuno the most, as the corner could have been avoided entirely, while the marking needed to be so much better.

Spurs’ first-half performance was not bad at all, but the second period totally unravelled, which shows there is still a long way to go performance-wise.
