Report reveals what Levy and Mourinho are plotting in January

According to Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur might dip back into the transfer market in January and look to strengthen to squad further with significant additions despite making seven signings in the last transfer window.

The report claims that while Jose Mourinho and the Spurs recruitment team are yet to come up with a definitive list of targets, they do believe there are areas where the squad needs to be improved.

Their decision on who to sign will reportedly depend on the results and performances in the next six to eight weeks leading up to the window.

The report claims that Spurs could be in the market for a new central defender, with Davinson Sanchez potentially being moved on after falling down the pecking order at the club.

This ties in with a report from Football.London last week which suggested that the North Londoners could spend significantly in January and might raise funds for their targets by selling the likes of Sanchez, Dele Alli, Paulo Gazzaniga and Danny Rose.
