Report reveals what Mourinho thinks about Dele’s potential move to PSG

According to The Athletic, Jose Mourinho is open to letting Dele Alli leave Tottenham in the January transfer window, amid rumoured interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

There has been plenty of speculation about PSG’s reported interest in Alli, particularly after former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino took over the reins at the club.

However, time is running out for the Ligue 1 giants to snap up the Spurs star, with just days left to go until the transfer window slams shut.

The Athletic claim that PSG are still at the negotiating table and are hopeful that an agreement can be reached to sign the midfielder on loan until the end of the season.

Alli is said to be keen on a move to Paris with the midfielder keen to get regular game time and it is suggested that Mourinho does not have any objections to the move.

The report reveals that the final decision on Alli’s future rests with Daniel Levy alone.

While all parties are said to be confident that a deal can be reached, it is claimed that the Spurs chairman will only give the green light for the move towards the end of the window after assessing all of his options.

If it is true that Alli is keen to leave and Mourinho has no objections to letting him go, then I suspect that the loan deal will go through in the final days of the window. Daniel Levy will know that the midfielder’s value will continue to drop if he warms the bench at Spurs.
