Report reveals what Nuno is thinking about Oliver Skipp ahead of new season

The Daily Mail have revealed that Nuno Espirito Santo may decide to loan out Oliver Skipp again for the upcoming season.

Skipp excelled on loan at Norwich last season and his consistent displays in the base of the Canaries midfield were key to Daniel Farke’s side being able to cruise to the Championship title.

Some sources at the club have revealed that the midfielder has looked a much more confident player during pre-season at Hotspur Way after returning from his successful loan spell at Carrow Road.

The 20-year-old certainly demonstrated his quality in Tottenham’s last two pre-season games against Colchester United and MK Dons, and the Spurs academy graduate will be hoping to make a mark on the first-team under Nuno Espirito Santo.

The Daily Mail have now revealed that the Portuguese coach has been impressed by what he has seen from Skipp in training so far.

However, it is explained that the 47-year-old may decide that another season out on loan could be the ideal step for the midfielder’s development.

The report asserts that Norwich are keen on re-signing Skipp on a temporary deal next season on their return to the top flight.

Spurs Web Opinion

Even if Skipp does not displace Hojbjerg as a first-team regular at Spurs next season, the midfielder could still get 15 to 20 matches under his belt in North London, particularly given our involvement in the Europa Conference League. So, I would like to see us hold on to Skipp rather than loaning him out again next season.
