Report reveals what some Spurs players have said privately about Mourinho’s management

A disappointing performance in last weekend’s North London derby against Arsenal was followed by the humiliating Europa League exit at the hands of Dinamo Zagreb for Tottenham Hotspur.

The Independent have claimed that some of the Spurs squad have spoken privately spoken about how Jose Mourinho’s tendency to berate them has seen them suffer a drop in confidence in a similar manner to his previous roles at Chelsea and Manchester United.

The Spurs head coach has publically criticised his players on more than one occasion to the media this season with Dele Alli’s flick against Stoke (talkSPORT) while Gareth Bale and Tanguy Ndombele were both on the receiving end after the 2-1 defeat at the Emirates (Metro).

Former midfielder Jermaine Jenas claimed in the aftermath of the Dinamo defeat that it had appeared that Tottenham’s players are no longer playing for the manager, which will likely result in his departure from North London (BBC Radio 5 Live’s Football Daily Podcast).
