Report reveals what Spurs coaches think about Ryan Sessegnon future

It is fair to say that the Spurs career of Ryan Sessegnon is yet to hit the heights that many expected.

The Englishman arrived in North London in the summer of 2019 as a dazzling prospect, but a change in managers and a failure to pinpoint a favoured position led to the 20-year-old being sent on loan.

Sessegnon has spent the season playing for Hoffenheim in Germany. He has made a total of 21 Bundesliga appearances thus far and contributed to four goals (TransferMarkt).

It is a loan spell that was much needed as Sessegnon started just four times in the league for Tottenham last season.

Football Insider have now reported that their sources inside the club claim Spurs coaches are convinced that Sessegnon can flourish in Lilywhite next season.

Many of those have watched the youngster closely from his youth days, and believe that the club has incredible talent on their hands, even a potential ‘world-beater’.

Much like the majority of his career so far, the Englishman in Germany has shown tremendous versatility. Sessegnon has mainly played as a left-back for Hoffenheim, however, he has also shown promise in attacking areas of the pitch too.

The loan has seemingly allowed the Roehampton-born player to reach a similar level to the one that was set in Fulham.

Sessegnon took Craven Cottage by storm. He was named as the Championship player of the year as a 17-year-old, where he was the catalyst in Fulham’s promotion campaign.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It would certainly be great for Sessegnon to succeed at Spurs. He came to the club as a player covered by many top clubs. It will all depend on the new manager’s system, but being able to pick from the talents of both Sergio Reguilon and Sessegnon is a mouth-watering prospect.
