Report reveals what Spurs have planned for Ryan Sessegnon if Reguilon signs

The Daily Mail have reported that Ryan Sessegnon could be loaned out by Tottenham Hotspur should they complete a deal for Sergio Reguilon.

While the speculation over a possible return of Gareth Bale to North London has dominated the headlines over the last 24 hours, Reguilon also looks set to join Jose Mourinho’s men.

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Spurs will pay €30 million (£27.5m) to land the left-back who impressed on loan at Sevilla last summer, with Reguilon set to put pen to paper on a five-year contract with the Lilywhites.

According to The Mail, once Tottenham seal the capture of the Spain international, they will be prepared to sanction a loan move for Sessegnon.

The Fulham man has failed to make the expected impact in his first season at Spurs but it was previously claimed that Jose Mourinho saw him as an important part of his plans this campaign (Football Insider).

However, it is now reported that the youngster is ‘certain’ to leave on loan should Reguilon arrive, with several clubs interested in the 20-year-old’s services.

Reports indicate that Real Madrid have a buy-back clause in the Reguilon deal. However, even if Madrid do take up the option to buy him back in a couple of years time, Spurs will be hopeful that Sessegnon would have devolved into a top left-back by then. So, this deal could potentially work out very well for all parties in the long-term.
