Report reveals what Spurs hope will happen in Brendan Rodgers pursuit

The Daily Mail have claimed that Tottenham have not given up hopes landing Brendan Rodgers despite the Leicester boss previously ruling himself out of contention for the Spurs job.

With Julian Nagelsmann and Erik ten Hag out of the running for the job, Rodgers now seems to be Tottenham’s preferred choice to replace Jose Mourinho at the helm.

While some reports have suggested that the Leicester boss would prove too expensive an option for Spurs, others have claimed that Daniel Levy is prepared to spend big to bring in the 48-year-old, who he has rated highly for the past decade.

Rodgers said on Wednesday that while Tottenham are a big club, he wishes to continue building on his project at the King Power Stadium.

However, The Mail suggests that there is some hope behind the scenes at Spurs that the former Liverpool boss could have a change of heart depending on how the Foxes finish the season.

Rodgers’ men are in the driving seat in the race for a top-four finish but they still have some work to do to secure Champions League qualification.
