Report reveals what Spurs player did at Hotspur Way in case he leaves the club this week

Dele Alli has reportedly thanked some members of staff at Tottenham in case he secures a transfer away from the club before he returns from his break this week, according to the Evening Standard.

Alli has been sparsely used since the arrival of Antonio Conte with the Italian’s latest decision seeing him left out of the Tottenham squad which lost 2-0 to Chelsea.

Speculation has since grown regarding the 25-year-old’s future in North London, with GOAL recently reporting that he has been listed for transfer alongside Spurs teammate Giovani Lo Celso.

With an exit said to be on the cards, the Evening Standard reports that Alli may have already said his goodbyes to some staff members at Spurs.

The report states the midfielder and his teammates have been given time off, but he has thanked some staff at the club for their efforts during his six-and-a-half-year stint at the club, in case he secures a transfer between now and returning.

Alli has been a long-standing target for Newcastle to land this month (The Chronicle) with Eddie Howe keen to strengthen his relegation-threatened side ahead of the final half of the campaign.

Spurs Web Opinion

It does seem pretty inevitable that Alli is heading out of Spurs and it is for the better of his career. He hasn’t shown much improvement in his game in the last couple of seasons and has just slipped so far out of contention. A move away would hopefully get his career back on track.
