Report reveals what the Tottenham staff really think of Jack Clarke

Tottenham Hotspur ended a run of nearly 18-months without a signing in 2019 when they scooped up young Jack Clarke from Leeds United.

It was reported that the Lilywhites paid £10m for the teenager after he broke into the Leeds first-team from the academy and impressed during the 2018/19 campaign.

Clarke managed 25 appearances in the 2018/19 season, scoring two goals and assisting two more for his boyhood club (TransferMarkt).

The teenager was then loaned back to Leeds for the first half of the 2019/20 campaign, although he made just one Championship appearance off the bench.

Clarke was recalled by Spurs and loaned out again to Queens Park Rangers, struggling for consistent game time once again. He finished the season with just 10 appearances to his name across the two loan spells (TransferMarkt).

ESPN have now reported that, despite an unsuccessful season, Tottenham staff still think ‘very highly’ of Clarke.

This comes after the Evening Standard reported that Mourinho intends to allow Clarke to prove his worth over pre-season this year.
