Report reveals what was discussed in Conte’s meeting with Levy and Paratici

The Telegraph’s Matt Law has revealed that Tottenham could let three of their players leave this month and are looking to make three new signings following Antonio Conte’s meeting with Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici.

Conte has revealed that he met with the Spurs chairman and the club’s managing director of football to give his evaluation of the squad but the Spurs boss admitted that signing the right players in January will not be easy.

It was previously reported that Tottenham were after a right-wing-back, a left-sided centre-back and a striker.

However, Law has now revealed that on the back of Conte’s meeting with the Spurs hierarchy that the North London club are expected to target wing-back, an attacker and a midfielder this month.

The journalist revealed that while the Italian also wants a centre-back, it may have to wait until the summer.

The report states that Wolves’ Adama Traore is the player Conte wants to employ as a right-wing-back while AC Milan’s Franck Kessie is the 52-year-old’s top midfield target.

Law adds that Tottenham are ready to listen to offers for Steven Bergwijn, Dele Alli and Matt Doherty this month.

If it is true that Conte views a new central midfielder as being a bigger priority than a centre-back, that suggests that the Italian has been underwhelmed by the midfield options at his disposal at Spurs. Perhaps, he is not convinced by Lo Celso’s, Ndombele’s and Dele’s ability to operate as number eights in a 5-3-2 system.
