Report reveals when Conte will meet the Spurs players and how he impressed Levy

The Athletic have revealed that Antonio Conte is set to meet the Tottenham players for the first time today after holding extensive talks with Fabio Paratici and Daniel Levy.

It now seems only a matter of time before Conte is announced as the next Tottenham head coach after the club parted ways with Nuno Espirito Santo and his coaching staff on Monday morning following a poor start to the season.

Conte arrives at North London with a world-class CV and the 52-year-old is fresh off a historic Scudetto triumph with Inter Milan last season after which he parted ways with the club.

There is reportedly excitement among the Tottenham squad at Conte’s impending arrival.

The Athletic’s Jack Pitt-Brooke has now revealed that the former Chelsea boss is set to meet with the Spurs players at lunchtime upon finalising the move this morning.

The report also explains that the Italian talked in detail about his ambitions and plans for the side with Levy and Paratici, including on how he would make the players fitter.

The Spurs chairman and the managing director of football are thought to have been left impressed by Conte’s vision.

The one thing that is sure is that Conte will immediately have the respect of the dressing room when he meets them for the first time. Given the Italian’s CV, the players will fully buy into his methods, which did not seem to be the case under Nuno.
