Report reveals when Emerson Royal could make his Tottenham debut

Football London have reported that new Tottenham signing, Emerson Royal could be in line to make his debut for the club as early as this weekend.

Spurs face off against Crystal Palace in the Premier League and will be looking to make it four wins from four in the competition this season.

Royal arrived at Hotspur Way on Tuesday this week after making a deadline day move from Barcelona to North London, and has been training with his new teammates.

Football London claim that, due to injuries over the international break, Emerson could be in line to make a ‘surprise Tottenham debut’ on Saturday.

The report confirms that Tottenham will be without South American trio Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero and Davinson Sanchez, while there are question marks over Oliver Skipp, Ryan Sessegnon, Steven Bergwijn and Heung-min Son due to injury concerns.

It is suggested that Japhet Tanganga could tuck into central defence while Emerson could then line up at right-back, although Matt Doherty is also an option.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I could see Tottenham deploying a back five against Palace just to ensure all 11 who play are fully fit. That five could include Reguilon, Davies, Dier and Tanganga, with one of Emerson and Doherty at right-wing-back.
