Report reveals when Ndombele’s move to Napoli is expected to be completed

According to Rai Sport (16/08/22 – as relayed by TuttoNapoli and Sport Witness), Tanguy Ndombele’s loan move to Napoli will be complete only after Fabian Ruiz seals a move to Paris Saint-Germain from the Serie A club.

Fabrizio Romano revealed on Monday that Ndombele’s loan move to Naples club is ‘almost done’ and that Luciano Spalletti’s side will have an option to make the deal permanent for €30m (£25.3m).

Gazzetta dello Sport (15/08/22 via Sport Witness) subsequently claimed that Napoli would only be willing to pay half of the Spurs star’s wages during his spell at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

If Rai Sport’s latest update is to be believed, Tottenham have agreed to such an arrangement, with the Lilywhites expected to pay €3m (£2.5m) out of Ndombele’s €6m (£5m) per year salary during his loan spell.

The report adds that the Serie A club will pay a loan fee of around €500k (£420k) to Spurs upfront and that the transfer ‘will definitely close’ once Ruiz joins PSG.

Rai Sport add that Ndombele is expected to be a Napoli player by the third matchday, which is on August 28th against Fiorentina.

Spurs Web Opinion

Among the players who are surplus to requirements at Spurs, Ndombele appeared to be the most difficult one to move on. So, the club have done well to offload the Frenchman. One would expect it to be more straightforward to find takers for Harry Winks and Sergio Reguilon within the next couple of weeks.
