The Athletic have reported that contact will be made between Tottenham and Harry Kane over the next few weeks now that the European Championships are complete.
The tournament ended in heartbreak for Kane and England as the Three Lions lost the final to Italy on penalties.
It is said that Tottenham’s new managing director of football, Fabio Paratici, chose not to contact Kane after joining the club in order to let him concentrate on the Euros.
While The Athletic claim that Paratici and Kane will talk at some point over the next three weeks, with the striker now allowed 21 days of holiday, the same cannot be said for Daniel Levy.
The report says that Levy remains ‘furious’ at the way Kane’s desire to leave Tottenham was leaked towards the end of last season and, therefore, it is unclear as to whether he will speak to the England captain.
Spurs Web Opinion:
Daniel Levy may well be angry but he is not foolish. He will have a sit-down chat with Kane again, as I’m sure he does in every pre-season, to talk through their options. I imagine it will be a case of Levy telling Kane he can leave if a certain price is met, which it probably won’t.
