Report reveals when Pochettino would be open to moving clubs again

The Telegraph have revealed that Mauricio Pochettino is open to replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United, but not immediately.

Pochettino was linked with a return to Tottenham over the summer before the North London club confirmed Nuno Espirito Santo as Jose Mourinho’s replacement.

The Argentine ended up staying in Paris and has since penned a contract extension with the Ligue 1 giants, with his current deal now running until the summer of 2023.

Over recent weeks, the former Spurs boss has been linked with the Manchester United hot-seat, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer coming under pressure amidst the Red Devils’ recent results.

The Telegraph have now cited French sources who say that the former Tottenham boss is open to taking over at Old Trafford.

However, it is explained that he would only join United when his contract at PSG runs out at the end of next season. As things stand, Brendan Rodgers is the favourite to replace Solskjaer at United (The Sun).

Spurs Web Opinion

Until a few weeks ago, Spurs fans would have dreamed of Pochettino returning to the club at the end of the season. However, that has now been put on the backburner following Conte’s appointment.

While I am pleased to now have Conte at Tottenham, I would still hate to see Pochettino go to United as I believe the Argentine will make them a force again in a short time.
