Football Insider have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur could confirm Arne Slot as their new head coach in a matter of just days.
The speculation linking Slot with a move to Spurs has gone into overdrive over the last two days, with the Dutchman now emerging as the clear frontrunner for the hot seat in N17.
Dutch news outlet De Telegraaf reported on Monday that the 44-year-old has said ‘yes’ to Tottenham and is keen on taking over at the Premier League side who have failed to secure a return to the Champions League this season.
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano reported on his YouTube channel on the same day that even sources close to some of Spurs’ other managerial candidates such as Luis Enrique and Ruben Amorim now believe that Slot is the ‘big favourite’ for the role.
Football Insider have now suggested that Tottenham are now ‘increasingly confident’ of appointing the Feyenoord boss as their manager by the end of this week.
The outlet claims that negotiations are progressing well between the parties and are now at an advanced stage. It is suggested that should an agreement be secured, the North London club announce Slot as Antonio Conte’s replacement within a matter of days.

Now that Tottenham appear to have settled on Slot as their top target, the club should not waste any time in getting the deal across the line.
It is vital that the deal is done quickly so that the Spurs hierarchy can start planning for the summer transfer window. Fans will certainly be expecting Daniel Levy to back Slot in making any changes he wishes to the playing squad with a number of players having outstayed their welcome at the club and change is needed.
