Tottenham Hotspur want to open formal talks with Paris Saint-Germain on Monday in their efforts to bring Mauricio Pochettino back to the club, according to The Sun.

The report claims that Pochettino, who only joined Paris Saint-Germain in January is open to returning to his former club after a fall-out with sporting director Leonardo.

Pochettino is said to be ready to focus his attention on Harry Kane if he does mark a sensational return to North London and is ready to ask the striker to give him at least one more season at the club.

Kane’s future has been called into question with Sky Sports claiming earlier this month that  he has once again reiterated his desire to leave this summer.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is hopeful that Pochettino will be able to persuade the striker to stay put, however, it is understood that retaining the 27-year-old is not a deal-breaker for the Argentine’s return.
