Report reveals when Tottenham vs Arsenal derby will be rescheduled for

The Daily Mail have revealed that the North London Derby will be rescheduled for the penultimate weekend of the Premier League season.

Tottenham and Arsenal are both currently in the thick of a battle for the final Champions League qualification place this season.

The Gunners sit three points above the Lilywhites with a game in hand, while Man United, West Ham and Wolves are also looking up the table.

The North London Derby was originally supposed to take place on January 16 but was postponed due to unavailable players in the Arsenal squad.

The Daily Mail now claim the showdown will take place on the weekend beginning May 9th, which would be the second-last game of the season for both clubs.

If Tottenham and Arsenal both remain in the fight for fourth over the next month, the North London Derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could go some way to deciding which team makes it into the prestigious Champions League next year.

Spurs Web Opinion:

This should have been played when Spurs were in-form and Arsenal had a lack of players. However, part of me now wanted it to be the final game of the season just for the potential grand Champions League showdown.
